The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched 53 long-range drones from Oryol Oblast in Russia, targeting Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure. Ukrainian air defense units shot down 32 enemy drones across various regions. Additionally, 16 drones disappeared from radars, while two left controlled airspace heading toward Belarus.
**Three Explosive Drones May Have Reached Targets**
The Air Force’s figures suggest that at least three explosive drones might have reached their intended targets. One of those struck a home in Chernihiv Oblast northeast of Kyiv on December 5 evening.
**Attacks Reported Across Ukraine**
Attacks were reported in several regions, including:
* Kharkiv Oblast: A Russian drone strike damaged building windows and injured one man.
* Zaporizhzhia Oblast: Authorities report 435 strikes on nine settlements, with no civilian casualties.
* Kherson Oblast: Six people were injured on December 5, and a 45-year-old man was injured in a Russian strike on Komyshany on December 6.
**Kyiv Under Attack**
Russian drones attacked Kyiv in waves, mostly as single targets from various directions. Air raid alerts were announced twice during the night, lasting four hours total. Kyiv’s air defenses destroyed over 10 air targets.
