**Serbian Opposition Leader Criticizes President Vucic**
Borko Stefanovic, the deputy leader of Serbia‘s opposition Freedom and Justice Party (SSP), has spoken out against Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
Stefanovic criticized Vucic for decorating a European Parliament member with an important state honor. The decoration was given to Harald Vilimsky, who represents Austria’s Freedom Party, on the occasion of Serbia’s Statehood Day.
Vilimsky’s party has been known to oppose the rights of Serbian diaspora in Austria and supported Kosovo’s membership in Interpol.
Stefanovic took to social media to express his disapproval. He called Vilimsky a representative of a “shameful” party, pointing out that its leader had once referred to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen as a witch.
The decoration is the second-highest state honor in Serbia. Vucic’s decision has sparked controversy, with some calling it a shame for Serbia.
