**OSCE Troika Condemns Georgian Officials’ Response to Protests**
The OSCE “troika”, which consists of current, former, and future chair countries, has strongly condemned the violent response of Georgian officials to peaceful protests.
**Call for Peaceful Resolution**
The troika called on Georgian officials to stop using repressive tactics and intimidation. They urged officials to ensure the protection of freedom of assembly and expression, as required by Georgia‘s international obligations.
**Investigate Allegations of Violence**
All allegations of violence, electoral fraud, and attacks on democratic values must be investigated in a credible manner. Those responsible for these crimes must be held accountable.
**Uphold Human Rights and Democracy**
The OSCE troika reminded Georgian officials to uphold human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. They encouraged officials to use tools and expertise offered by the OSCE to address these issues.
**Stand with the Georgian People**
The troika expressed solidarity with the Georgian people’s aspiration for a democratic and European future, as written in Georgia’s Constitution.
