A missile attack launched on 7 October, which targeted the Oil Terminal in occupied Crimea sparked a fire that lasted for days.
Satellite images confirm significant damage to a Crimean oil depot following a successful Ukrainian attack on 7 October. The facility was in flames for over four days following the attack.
The Feodosia Oil Marine Terminal is Crimea’s largest facility when it comes to oil product transshipment. The targeting of this strategic asset could have a significant impact on Russia’s logistics capabilities in the occupied area.

The Russian Telegram channel Baza reported that two missiles had likely hit the oil depot causing damage to five fuel tank. According to their two tanks were destroyed completely, while three other tanks were damaged and continued burning.
This attack is a follow-up to a previous attack on the same facility, which occurred in March 2024. The previous strike damaged the main fuel pipe and caused a large fire.
