According to a report published October 4, the Pyrotechnic teams from ‘s Emergency Service have been working tirelessly to detect and dispose of explosive ordnance since ‘s full-scale invasion began on , . So far, they have successfully cleared around 148,858 hectares of territory and disposed of over 533,200 pieces of explosive ordnance, including 4,018 aerial bombs.

In the past 24 hours alone, the teams have responded to 173 calls and removed and disposed of 293 explosives, including two air bombs. They have also surveyed an additional 127,630 hectares of land. The regions that have required the most pyrotechnic deployment include Kharkiv (35,815 times), Kherson (16,560 times), Donetsk (14,826 times), Kyiv (11,393 times), (9,360 times), Chernihiv (6,948 times), and (4,425 times).

Authorities are urging the public to report any suspicious objects by calling . This is especially important as Ukraine remains the world’s most mined country. In the past two years, the country’s specialists have cleared 30,000 square kilometers of mines – an area comparable to the size of Belgium or Moldova. However, since 2022, approximately 174,000 square kilometers of Ukrainian land have been contaminated with explosives, leaving 144,000 square kilometers still potentially dangerous.
