Russian strikes against Ukraine have killed at least five civilians and injured 25 others over the past day, regional authorities reported.
The attacks were launched by Russia during the night of November 27-28. Russian forces used a combination of missiles and drones to target several regions in Ukraine, including the capital city of Kyiv. The Ukrainian military was able to shoot down some of the missiles and drones, but many people were still injured or killed.
A 16-year-old boy and a 90-year-old woman were wounded in an attack in Odesa Oblast. They received medical treatment at the scene of the attack. Falling missile debris damaged six houses in the area, according to Governor Oleh Kiper.
Other regions that were targeted by Russian forces include Vinnytsia Oblast, Kherson Oblast, and Zaporizhzhia Oblast. In each of these areas, people were injured or killed as a result of the attacks.
The situation is ongoing, with many more people potentially affected by the strikes. The Ukrainian government has promised to do everything it can to protect its citizens from further harm.
