**Ukraine Under Attack: Drone Strikes Wreak Havoc**
A residential building in Ternopil, Ukraine was set on fire after being hit by a Russian drone. The attack happened early in the morning and resulted in one person’s death and three injuries.
The explosion caused widespread damage to nearby buildings and vehicles. A school and around 20 cars were damaged. Over 100 residents were forced to evacuate the building.
**Drone Activity Intensifies**
Ukrainian forces have been working hard to intercept Russian drones. They successfully downed over 50 drones in several regions, including Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv. Another 50 drones were lost or redirected towards Belarus and Russia.
In one village in Chernivtsi Oblast, debris from a downed drone damaged buildings. In Kyiv, authorities neutralized around two dozen attack drones without causing any harm to people or buildings.
**Air Defense Efforts Pay Off**
Ukrainian air defense also managed to down several more drones over other regions. These include Cherkasy, Sumy, and Khmelnytskyi oblasts.
The EU has pledged €1.4 billion to support Ukraine’s air defense efforts. This money will be used for air defense systems, ammunition, and industry needs.
