Paata Manjgaladze of the “Unity – National Movement” said that she would protest and not get used to the stolen election until the people regained their power.
Manjgaladze also answered the question of whether the opposition’s planned action on Rustaveli Avenue on Monday could take the form a continuous protest. He said that he “doesn’t rule out anything.”
“Our personal plan is to protest and not accept the stolen election until the people gain power. This is the plan. I don’t yet know who will decide the date and terms. I am willing to attend all rallies. Let’s stop asking the leaders of opposition parties to contribute. We can do a lot more if we organize ourselves. Georgia will always support us, so the protests will be non-violent and peaceful.
I welcome all forms peaceful, non-violent demonstration. [As to pitching tents], there’s nothing I would rule out. There should be a variety of centers and groups to make it harder for the government to suppress protests.
Manjgaladze: “The main principle of the election – the right to secrecy and to express one’s own free will – has been violated. And probably no one will recognize this in the world except for “Hamas“, Hezbollah, Nauru and Venezuela.”
