Protestors Move Towards Parliament’s Back Entrance
Some of the protesters on Rustaveli Avenue have moved towards the back entrance of Parliament via Chichinadze Street. They are chanting slogans, saying “Everywhere, ‘militsia,’ nowhere is justice!”
No police forces have been deployed on Chichinadze Street so far.
Meanwhile, a different group of protesters remains on April 9th Street, where a police cordon is in place.
The protests started near Parliament because citizens are upset with the work of a temporary commission investigating the National Movement government. The situation has gotten out of hand several times already, and some people have been detained by police. One of those detainees is Elene Khoshtaria, a leader of the “Coalition for Change”.
