Protesters blocked Rustaveli Avenue where the rally “We Are Europe” was about to begin.
The stage in front of parliament will be used by the visiting parliamentarians and opposition leaders from the eight EU countries to address the public.
The demonstration will also include representatives from both the opposition parties and the civil society.
The protesters do not accept the results of the parliamentary election and, therefore, the legitimacy and demand a re-election.
