Women’s March Participants Protest Outside Bidzina Ivanishvili’s House
A group of protesters from the Women‘s March arrived at the home of Bidzina Ivanishvili, a high-ranking official in Georgia. They brought suitcases with them and left them on the site.
On the suitcases, messages were written such as “Bidzina, go! I’m staying!” and “No to forced emigration”. The protesters also chanted slogans like “Go, go”.
The actress Eka Demetradze read out a manifesto at the rally. She said that Ivanishvili is leaving and the protesters are staying because they are stronger and more resilient than him.
Law enforcement officers were present on the scene. Some drivers also showed support for the protesters by honking their horns.
Organizations such as Women’s Movement, Safari, Women from Georgia, Coalition for Changes, Coalition for Strong Georgia, Unity-National Movement, and For Georgia party participated in the event.
