**Latvia Sends Armored Vehicles to Ukraine**
The Latvian Defense Ministry has ordered Patria 6×6 armored personnel carriers for Ukraine. This is part of Latvia’s ongoing support for Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war.
The Patria 6×6 vehicles are produced by the Finnish defense industry company Patria. They can carry up to 10 soldiers and be used for various tasks like troop transportation, command posts, and medical evacuation.
Ukraine is expected to receive these vehicles in late 2025. The delivery will not affect Latvia’s previous order for its own army. Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds said the deal would allow them to test the use and durability of armored vehicles in real combat conditions.
**Latvia Continues Support**
Latvia has been one of Ukraine’s strongest supporters since the war started. The country has pledged to allocate 0.25% of its GDP each year for military aid to Ukraine. In August 2021, Latvia signed an agreement with Finland, Sweden, and Germany to purchase over 200 armored personnel carriers.
