Patriarch: We congratulate “Georgian Dream”, whose victory was confirmed with a majority of votes. I hope the government and opposition can use the next years to progress and prosper the country.  

Election Results Revealed in Georgia

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has finished counting votes. The results show that “Georgian Dream” won with a big majority of votes.

Patriarch Ilia II congratulates the winner on their success. He hopes that both the government and opposition will work together for the country‘s progress and prosperity.

The opposition does not agree with the election results and plans to keep protesting. However, the Patriarch hopes that everyone will put aside their differences and work towards a better future for Georgia.

In his statement, Patriarch Ilia II says: “Everything in this world is by God‘s will. We should work together with Him for the country’s good.”

He prays for peace in Georgia and wishes strength to the nation.
