EU Ambassador Visits Human Rights House in Tbilisi
The European Union’s ambassador to Georgia, Paweł Herczyński, recently visited the Human Rights House in Tbilisi. During his visit, he spoke out against violence and intimidation towards human rights defenders.
Herczyński said that the current situation in Georgia is “disgusting”. He stated that the use of violent actions, threats, and intimidation against people who protect human rights is not acceptable. This behavior is incompatible with basic democratic values, according to the ambassador.
The European Union supports those who work to protect human rights in Georgia and around the world. The ambassador’s visit to the Human Rights House was likely an opportunity for him to show support for these individuals and organizations.
