US Provides Most of Committed Military Aid to Ukraine
The US has delivered most of the military aid it promised to Ukraine. This was stated by Pentagon Press Secretary Major General Pat Ryder.
A total of $64.1 billion in aid has been given since Russia’s invasion in 2022. The US is still Ukraine’s biggest donor, with Germany being second.
Despite this, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said earlier that only 10% of the promised military aid had been received by Ukraine. However, the Pentagon says it will use all available funds to support Ukraine by January 20, when a new administration takes office.
The US has delivered:
* 83% of critical artillery munitions, including rounds and rockets
* 67% of air defense capabilities, such as missiles and Hawk systems
* 60% of fire support systems, like bombs and ammunition
