**US Delivers Majority of Promised Military Aid to Ukraine**
The US has delivered 83% of the munitions, 67% of critical air defenses, and 60% of firepower capabilities committed to Ukraine under defense packages since April. This is according to Pentagon spokesperson Major General Pat Ryder.
**Ukraine Had Complained About Slow Pace**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had previously complained about the slow pace of US aid deliveries. In an October press conference, he said that only 10% of the aid approved by Congress in April had reached Ukraine.
**New Deliveries and Remaining Aid**
Since a supplemental package was passed, the US has drawn down nearly $3.7 billion in equipment from Department of Defense stocks across 12 PDA drawdowns. Ryder stated that this includes delivering 83% of critical munitions, such as artillery rounds and missiles, 67% of air defense commitments, including Stingers and Hawk missiles, and 60% of firepower capabilities.
**US Remains Committed**
Despite Ukrainian concerns, the US remains committed to providing further support. The Pentagon has emphasized that $7 billion in remaining aid will be delivered based on urgent battlefield demands, regardless of political developments.
**International Support Still Uncertain**
While NATO and the US publically support sustaining support for Ukraine, international backing remains uncertain. President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration may not continue the same level of support as current President Joe Biden. Ukrainian President Zelensky has faced challenges in his recent European tour seeking additional military support.
**NATO Remains Committed**
Despite these concerns, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized that the alliance will stand together and do more than just keep Ukraine in the fight against Russia’s aggression.
