Peter Szijjarto says that Brussels’ interference is unacceptable in Georgia because the government supports peace. We are happy that USAID funding is no longer being provided, as it does not interfere with the politics of other countries.  

Hungary’s Foreign Minister, Peter Szijjártó, recently spoke out against the European Union‘s (EU) actions in Georgia. He said that Brussels’ interference in Georgia’s affairs is not acceptable.

Szijjártó stated that the government of Georgia supports peace and stability. He believes that outside influence can be harmful to a country‘s internal politics.

The Hungarian minister welcomed news that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) had suspended its funding. This, he said, shows that the organization no longer interferes with other countries’ domestic affairs.
