**Lithuanian MEP Criticizes Georgian Government**

Petras Auštrevičius, a member of the European Parliament from Lithuania, has strongly criticized the Georgian government’s decision to cancel the country’s European integration plans.

This change in policy, according to Auštrevičius, brings Georgia closer to Russia and creates great uncertainty. The MEP believes that this move was unconstitutional.

Auštrevičius thinks that the European Union should respond to this development by cancelling the visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports. He also suggests imposing individual sanctions against those responsible for the decision.
