**Germany to Continue Aid Discussions with Ukraine**
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has met with Ukrainian officials in Kyiv to discuss defense cooperation. This includes making joint ventures and buying Ukrainian-made military products using European funds.
Pistorius said that the Ukrainian government is still working out some issues before a final decision can be made. He assured that Germany’s support for Ukraine will not change, no matter what happens in Germany’s upcoming elections on February 23.
Recently, there were reports that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had blocked an extra aid package for Ukraine. However, Pistorius denied this and said that a final decision has not been made yet.
Germany is currently Ukraine’s second-largest military donor after the US. Despite this, Chancellor Scholz has faced criticism for being too cautious on some issues, including not sending long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine.
