**US Sends $15 Billion to Ukraine Using Frozen Russian Assets**
The United States has agreed to send $15 billion to Ukraine. This money will come from profits made on frozen Russian assets.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this news on December 30. He said that the agreement was signed between Ukraine’s Finance Ministry and the World Bank.
**What Will the Money Be Used For?**
The $15 billion will be used for social and humanitarian projects in Ukraine. This is part of a bigger project called PEACE in Ukraine, which aims to help people affected by the conflict.
**Previous Aid Has Already Been Sent**
This is not the first time that Ukraine has received aid from the US using frozen Russian assets. In December 2022, $1 billion was sent to Ukraine as part of a larger $50 billion loan program agreed upon by G7 leaders.
