Today, Georgian Premier Irakli Garibashvili and Fatma Yazgan, Turkey’s Ambassador Extraordinary, Plenipotentiary, met in Georgia.
The meeting with the ambassador discussed the good neighborly relations between the countries and ways to advance their strategic partnership.
The conversation centered on the regional situation, and the need to promote peace and stability. Peace and stability are prerequisites for the development and prosperity of the region. The parties also discussed Garibashvili’s Peaceful Neighbourhood Initiative for the South Caucasus. They noted that Georgia has always supported peaceful cooperation in the South Caucasus and remained committed to promoting regional dialog.
The meeting focused on the economic cooperation between Georgia and Turkey, highlighting ongoing regional projects that demonstrate the effective partnership and reliable cooperation between Georgia and Turkey.
Garibashvili thanked her for her contribution in developing the strategic partnership between Turkey & Georgia. She also wished her the best of luck in her future career.
