**Poland Denies Banning Slovak Delegation’s Flight to Moscow**
The Polish Foreign Ministry has denied claims by a Slovak far-right lawmaker that Warsaw did not allow a Slovak delegation to fly to Moscow through Polish airspace.
According to the Polsat News channel, the Polish Foreign Ministry said they didn’t refuse the flight. Instead, they claimed that the Slovak side sent them incomplete documents and changed their route when asked to complete them.
The Slovak delegation, led by Andrej Danko, arrived in Moscow on January 12 to discuss Russian gas supplies to Slovakia. They were expected to meet with representatives of the Russian State Duma and other government officials.
**Russian Gas Supplies at Issue**
The meeting comes as tensions rise between Kyiv and Bratislava over Ukraine‘s decision to halt the transit of Russian gas through its territory. This has led to a heightened reliance on Russian gas by countries like Slovakia and Hungary, despite EU efforts to reduce dependence on Russian fossil fuels.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has threatened to cut energy and humanitarian support after the transit deal expired, further straining relations between the two nations. The delegation is expected to return to Slovakia on January 15.
