Poland proposes to lend Ukraine defense loans amid tensions over MiG fighter planes

Radoslaw Sikorski, the Polish Foreign Minister, said that Poland could offer a loan to Ukraine if they wanted to buy its arms. This was in response to ‘s remarks about Poland’s failure of delivering MiG planes to Ukraine, as agreed previously, Polsat reported.
Ukraine’s Air Force is largely outgunned, as it lacks planes and missiles that can counter Russian air attacks. This includes guided air bombs.

Sikorski called for understanding of Zelenskyy “who is going though a difficult time” in Ukraine.
Andrzej Dda, the Polish president, said earlier that Poland was one of the first and most generous donors to Ukraine after Russia’s full scale invasion in . It provided rapid assistance using its own stockpiles. These reserves are now largely depleted.
“A responsible cannot simply transfer new weapons,” Duda said, suggesting that Poland had reached its limits in terms of what it could provide without compromising security.
Journalists found documents that showed Belarusian companies were using Poland to bypass EU sanctions. They falsified records to pass off Belarusian wood as coming from Kazakhstan.
