In an interview with Wladyslaw Bartoszewsk, Polish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs on October 21, Wladyslaw T. Bartoszewsk stated that Warsaw wants to review the classified additions made to Ukraine‘s recent victory plan presented by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Zelensky’s victory plan, which was presented on October 17th, includes five main points as well as three confidential appendices.
Zelensky stated that during the presentation of the Victory Plan, the entire text would remain confidential. Only select partners who were crucial to its execution would have access to the classified annexes of specific sections.
Bartoszewsk pointed out that Poland was not one of the countries who received the full details of the plan. He also emphasized Poland’s important military support for Ukraine.
“We provided Ukraine military aid in a crucial way. When Germany was talking about sending helmets to Ukraine, we sent 320 tankers. Our contribution was significant, especially in the beginning when most needed,” he said.
The victory plan includes the following demands: an invitation to NATO, a defense component, deterrence against Russian aggression, economic development and cooperation, as well as post-war security architecture.
On Oct. 18, the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that Ukraine’s plan of victory will be reassessed following the upcoming U.S. Presidential election.
Tusk also reiterated that Poland’s support of Ukraine’s NATO membership had not changed. “We stand with Ukraine in this issue,” he stated.
Poland has been one the strongest supporters of Ukraine ever since the full-scale Russian invasion began in February 2022. It has provided billions of dollars of military, economic and humanitarian aid, and hosted millions of Ukrainian refugees.
This includes 1,350 casualties that Russian forces have suffered in the last day.

Local authorities reported that on October 21, Russia attacked the towns Kurakhove, Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk in the Donetsk Oblast district. Three people were killed and two others injured.
On the morning of October 21, Russia struck the residential area in the city and damaged 30 buildings.
