I was in this city at the time that this city was under Russian attack. Tbilisi still faces a Russian threat. The threat may not seem so severe, and there are no tanks. But the country is still in danger due to Russian propaganda and Russian-style politics. Michal Kaminski said this after meeting the President of Georgia.
According to him there are two options for Georgia, Poland. Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, and Estonia: “either to Europe, or to fall into Russian hands”.
“When the ruling parties ask us today what gives us the right to be present, we will reply – I was with President Kaczynski here when Tbilisi faced danger. I organized this trip as Secretary of States. We came to Tbilisi when the Russian invasion was a direct threat. I stood in this town when this city was under Russian attack. Tbilisi remains under Russian threat. The tanks may not be there, but they are still several kilometers away. This is a threat, and the country is in peril because of Russian propaganda.
There were two options available to the Georgians, as well as to the Polish, Lithuanians, Latvians, Ukrainians and Estonians: either go to Europe, or fall into Russia‘s hands. There is no alternative, and that’s why are here. Michal Kaminski stated that we are here out of love for Georgia.
