**Poland‘s PM Criticizes Hungary Over Putin Praise**
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has attacked Hungarian leader Viktor Orban for saying Russia is an “honest partner”. This was said just after Russian missile attacks on Ukraine on Christmas Day.
On December 25, Russia launched 78 missiles and 106 drones at Ukrainian cities. The city of Kharkiv was hit with ballistic missiles, injuring six people.
Tusk pointed out that Orban’s words were very different from the reality of the situation. “Russia attacked Ukrainian cities on Christmas Eve,” he said. “At the same time, Prime Minister Orban called Putin an honest partner.”
Hungary has often opposed EU sanctions against Russia and blocked military aid to Ukraine.
**Ukraine Strikes Back at Russian Targets**
The Ukrainian Air Force struck a factory in southern Russia that makes parts for ballistic missiles. This was reported by the Center for Strategic Communications on December 26.
Russian forces hit a market in Nikopol, injuring eight people. A Ukrainian spokesperson said this was part of a broader effort to weaken Russia’s ability to fight.
**US Increases Military Aid**
US President Joe Biden has ordered more military aid to Ukraine after Russia’s attack on Christmas Day. This includes 1,540 casualties Russian forces suffered over the past day.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainians were holding strong despite three years of war. He thanked Japan for its $12 billion in aid, which has helped save thousands of lives.
**Russia’s Inflation Soars**
Inflation in Russia has reached a 10-month high due to the cost of the war and food prices rising. This was reported by The Moscow Times on December 25.
Russian companies are also using digital currencies like Bitcoin for international payments due to Western sanctions, according to Reuters.
