Tusk emphasized that Poland will play a significant role in any negotiations once it assumes the presidency of the EU on January 1st. He also announced visits to Warsaw by French President Macron, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and constant contact with Scandinavian and Baltic allies.
**Czech Prime Minister Warns Against Appeasement**
Earlier, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala warned Western allies against “appeasement” in potential peace negotiations with Russia over Ukraine. He emphasized that Europe needs US strength to prevent further Russian aggression and that forcing Kyiv to cede territory would only encourage Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war machine.
