**Slovakia Remains Stable Despite Russian Gas Cutoff**
Experts say Prime Minister Robert Fico‘s warnings of energy crises in Slovakia were unfounded. The country has enough gas reserves to get through the winter, even without Russia‘s supply.
Fico had predicted problems due to Russia stopping its gas transit through Ukraine at the end of 2024. However, Slovakia’s preparation for this eventuality and its stable reserve levels above seasonal averages have kept it secure.
In contrast to Fico’s dire predictions, Slovakia remains unaffected by the Russian gas cutoff. This shows that Europe has other options for energy supply beyond Russia.
