**Most Ukrainians Support 30-Day Ceasefire**
Around 77% of Ukrainians think a proposed 30-day ceasefire is a good idea. This was shown in an opinion poll done by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
Only 17% of people thought it was a bad idea. Some said it would weaken Ukraine, while others believed it showed that Russia wasn’t willing to negotiate fairly.
**Russia’s Conditions Rejected**
The US and Ukraine wanted a wider ceasefire, but Russia didn’t agree unless some conditions were met. These included stopping foreign military aid to Ukraine.
Most people (79%) thought these conditions from Russia were not acceptable at all. Only 16% were willing to consider them.
**Ukraine Will Keep Fighting**
Despite the proposed ceasefire, most Ukrainians (82%) think their country should keep fighting, regardless of what happens outside. Even if they didn’t get any more US military aid, very few people would give up (8%).
If there was no guarantee of safety and security, a lot of people (62%) wouldn’t support the ceasefire. But if some guarantees were in place, most respondents (51%) would be okay with it.
The poll asked 1,326 people across Ukraine’s government-controlled areas what they thought about the proposed truce.
