**Most Danes Support Sending Peacekeepers to Ukraine**
Around 53% of Danes want to send peacekeepers to Ukraine after Russia’s war ends. This is according to a recent poll by the Ritzau news agency.
The poll comes at a time when Western countries are discussing sending peacekeeping forces to Ukraine if negotiations with Russia lead to a ceasefire. The US has ruled out sending its own troops, but wants European allies to secure Ukraine’s post-war stability.
**Danish Public Opinion**
The Danish poll showed that 15% of Danes are against sending peacekeepers, while 32% are undecided or have no opinion. The survey was conducted by Voxmeter research agency and included 1,021 interviews between February 18 and 20.
**International Developments**
UK Prime Minister Starmer is planning to visit Washington next week to present a plan to send 30,000 European peacekeepers to Ukraine after a ceasefire. However, other countries are cautious about sending their troops due to concerns over escalation and limited military resources.
Denmark has provided Ukraine with around $7.5 billion worth of military aid since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. It was also the first country to offer military aid through direct purchases from Ukraine’s defense industry.
