The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, has spoken out about the country‘s recent elections. Three weeks have passed since the election took place, but none of their main democratic partners have recognized it.
President Zourabishvili said that due to this, the verdict is clear: “this election has not been held”. She made these comments at a briefing in the Orbeliani Palace.

The President also spoke about the economic and financial crisis affecting Georgia. She said that the country was facing serious dangers, including destabilization and polarization. This can lead to external factors causing instability, she warned.

President Zourabishvili called on all parties to work together to find a solution to the crisis. She offered her support to political forces, partners, and even the current authorities in finding a peaceful way out of this situation.
