Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili met with Estonian officials on March 28. She met with the President, Alar Karis, and other top officials.
The Georgian President said that Estonia supports Georgia’s efforts to hold new elections. “Estonia stands with us on our European path,” she said on a social media platform called X.
Zurabishvili also met with Lauri Hussar, who is in charge of the Estonian Parliament. He promised to support Georgia and its people.
The Georgian President then met with members of the Foreign Relations Committee. They said that Georgia is important for European security and should be on the EU’s agenda.
On March 26, Zurabishvili visited Latvia. She met with Latvian officials and addressed a roundtable discussion at an Estonian think-tank called ICDS.
Before visiting Estonia, the Georgian President had been to Lithuania on March 25. There, she met with top Lithuanian officials, including the President and Parliament Speaker.
The Georgian leader has been traveling through the Baltic states as part of her efforts to address a political crisis in Georgia.
