Misinformation About Georgian Dream Chairman Spreads
The “Georgian Dream” party is denying rumors that their chairman, Irakli Gharibashvili, was injured in a physical confrontation.
According to the party’s press service, this information is not true. They claim that Gharibashvili hurt his shoulder during training and needed some medical help. He has continued to work as usual.
The party says that “radical opposition” media outlets are spreading lies about Gharibashvili being taken to an American hospital with multiple injuries. This is just another example of misinformation, they claim.
Gharibashvili was not hurt in a confrontation. He only needed some medical help for his shoulder injury. The party wants people to ignore the false reports and not believe them.
A former head of a co–investment fund made these claims about Gharibashvili’s injuries on TV, but the “Georgian Dream” party is calling it disinformation.
