Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, has made a statement about the current protests in the country.
He claims that there was never a plan to hold “Natsmaidan” events in Georgia and that they will not be held. He also says that foreign funding was involved in organizing these events.
According to him, this year’s spring events and the current protests were part of a pre-written plan. The adoption of a law related to revolutionary scenarios was not transparent and received vague financing over four years. This led to three major revolutions with foreign involvement.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Georgia is a proud country with independence and sovereignty. He stated that they will be careful and not allow anyone to undermine their country’s independence through foreign intervention.
