Irakli Kobakhidze said that Olaf Scholz had his own problems. He broke up the coalition, and I don‘t understand how he did it for Georgia. I think the German Chancellor should be more concerned with his own issues and not make statements about Georgian matters.
He said that the law on protecting minors and family values is a good law that serves to prevent LGBT propaganda from being produced in Georgia.
According to him, European leaders “cannot tell us that a female is not a women and a male is not a male.”
“First, I should say that Olaf Scholz is a man with his own problems. I don’t understand how he has solved them for Georgia. His coalition was dissolved and extraordinary elections were scheduled for the near future. I think that the German chancellor would be better off focusing on his own problems than making statements about Georgian matters – this is one thing. In terms of the two laws, I’ll start with the second topic – that is, the law on protecting minors and family values. This is the easiest and only thing to stop LGBT propaganda in Georgia. A woman should always be called a female, and a male should always be called a male. In no EU member state can a woman go to a civil registry or public registry and be transcribing as a male, or vice versa. This is a situation that we find categorically unacceptable. This law addresses this issue. Sir, if someone can prove that this is an event that is healthy, and that you as a woman can register as a male, or that you as a male can register as female, then let’s repeal this law. If they can prove that this is healthy, I could imagine myself as an animal tomorrow and why not record it? Why shouldn’t I be able to cancel my registration as a human being? This is absurdity at its highest level. LGBT propaganda is not allowed to be shown in schools or kindergartens, and it is not allowed on television. We think that it is a healthy law, if someone can prove to us that it is not healthy. Let’s argue that, but I don’t believe that it will make a good impression on the public. Kobakhidze said that European leaders could not tell us a woman was not a girl and a boy was not a boy.
