Irakli Kobakhidze said that when the war in Ukraine is over, the relationship with the European Union and USA will be reset.
After re-establishing relations, Kobakhidze told reporters that “nobody will remember the unfair decisions”.
“One thing we want to stress is that the EU and USA relations will be reset as soon as the Ukraine war ends. We think this will happen next year. No one will remember these unjust resolutions. Georgia-EU relations and Georgia-US relationships should be strained. “I think that as soon the war in Ukraine ends we will see immediate countermeasures from structures of the European Union, and America,” said Kobakhidze.
According to the Prime Minister “this is not a pressing issue” in regards to the possible impositions of sanctions.
“As soon the war in Ukraine is over, we will be in a completely new situation.” I would therefore not pay much attention to temporary events such as the resolution of the European Parliament. Our main and strategic task is to restart the relations. This will happen next year. The war in Ukraine is not preventing in the middle but in the head. This is why certain forces have different interests in Georgia. The second front’s interest will cease as soon as the first front ends. “This will contribute to restarting Georgian-EU and Georgian-US relations,” Kobakhidze stated.
