Kosovo Won’t Let Serbian Minister In
The government of Kosovo has refused to let a high-ranking official from Serbia visit the country. Zlatibor Loncar, the Health Minister of Serbia, was supposed to go to two towns in northern Kosovo on Wednesday.
Loncar wanted to check how well the health care system is working in those areas and find ways to improve it. But his visit was cancelled because the Kosovo authorities did not respond to his invitation.
The Serbian government said that they had told the Kosovo authorities about Loncar’s planned visit a few days ago, but there was no answer from them. Despite repeated calls, Kosovo still refused to let him in.
Loncar called this decision “shameful”.
