Prosecutor Charges Leader of Lelo – Strong Georgia
The Prosecutor‘s Office in Tbilisi is taking action against Mamuka Khazaradze, one of the leaders of the party Lelo – Strong Georgia. He has been presented with charges.
Khazaradze recently reviewed an interrogation protocol at Tbilisi City Court and then went to the Prosecutor’s Office. A few days ago, he gave testimony in front of a judge at the same court. This was after being summoned for questioning because he didn’t attend a meeting of a temporary parliamentary commission looking into the government of “National Movement”.
Khazaradze refused to attend this meeting, which is against the law. The Criminal Code says that not showing up can result in a fine or up to one year in prison.
