**Prosecutor’s Office Takes Action Against Student Protest Violence**
The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade has started eight criminal proceedings for crimes committed during student blockades and protests. This decision comes after students from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) were physically assaulted on November 22.
Five suspects are being questioned in connection with this incident. One suspect, Milija Koldzic, was questioned on January 17. He denied any wrongdoing and presented his defense.
The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office also mentioned that one case has already been concluded with a final judgment based on a plea agreement.
Milija Koldzic is a former New Belgrade municipal council member who resigned following pressure from students over the attacks on FDU students during peaceful protests.
