Protesters Block Rustaveli Avenue Again
Protests near the Georgian Parliament have started again. Demonstrators are blocking a main street, Rustaveli Avenue.
The protesters want two things: new elections and the release of people who were arrested during previous demonstrations. They have been protesting for 107 days now.
People in the protest are chanting slogans like “No justice, no peace” and “Fire to the police regime“. Some protesters are holding banners with messages on them, as well as flags from Georgia and the EU.
Another group is protesting near a public TV station. Later today, they plan to march to Rustaveli Avenue to join the other protesters.
