By 15:30, the situation was calm again. But then it became tense once more as protesters broke into the parliament building.

The opposition in Abkhazia said that the protesters are not against Russia-Abkhazia relations. They are trying to protect Abkhazia’s national interests and natural resources from being used for personal gain by the president.

So far, official Tbilisi has not made any statement about what is happening in Abkhazia.
