Protesters Block Road in Front of Parliament
Tens of thousands of protesters have blocked the road in front of the Georgian Parliament. This is the 29th day of continuous protests.
Demonstrators March to Parliament
People from different parts of Tbilisi marched to the Parliament building, bringing banners with various messages. They are demanding changes.
What Protesters Want
The main demands of the protesters remain the same. They want those detained during the protests to be released and for new elections to be held. The crowd is chanting slogans like “Freedom to the regime’s prisoners” and “No to the Russian regime”.
Why People Are Protesting
This protest started after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that Georgia would not discuss joining the European Union until 2028.
