Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved a change in the way soldiers are paid while fighting against . This change will affect how much money wounded soldiers get.

Right now, soldiers who are injured get up 3 million rubles (nearly $29,000). But this new rule says that if injury is “severe”, they still get 3 million rubles. If it’s considered “minor”, they get million rubles ($10,000). And for some smaller injuries, they will get just 100,000 rubles (about $960).
