**Russia Targets Ukraine with New Missile**
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 21 that Russia tested its new intermediate-range ballistic missile, the Oreshnik. The test was made against the city of Dnipro in Ukraine.
According to Putin, Russian forces launched a conventional intercontinental ballistic missile at Dnipro earlier that day. Ukrainian authorities have not confirmed the type of missile used.
**Putin’s Claim**
Putin said Ukraine targeted facilities in Russia’s Kursk and Bryansk regions with long-range missiles on November 19 and 20. In response, Russian forces launched an attack on a defense industry facility in Dnipro, Putin claimed.
The Oreshnik missile is designed to carry nuclear weapons, but it was not armed with one during this test, said Putin.
**Warning from Putin**
Putin warned that Russia would use its weapons against any country whose arms are used to strike Russian targets. He also claimed the U.S. plans to produce and deploy medium- and shorter-range missiles in Ukraine.
Additionally, Putin promised to warn Ukrainian civilians and citizens of other countries before using its weapons.
**Damage and Injuries**
The attack on Dnipro caused significant damage, including an industrial enterprise, two houses, nine garages, and a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities. Two people were injured in the strike.
