“Georgia did not support Western sanctions against Russia.” Alexei Goncharenko, a Ukrainian Rada member, responded to the statement by the Prime Minister of Georgia stating that sanctions would harm Georgia more.
The Rada MP stated that the statement by the Georgian Premier that he couldn’t visit Ukraine as a show of solidarity “because the skies over Ukraine are closed” was the most surprising.
He asked the Georgian people how much they liked these statements by the head of the government.
“Georgia did not support Western sanctions against Russia.” What do you think? Do you have Stockholm Syndrome or something similar?
“Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili claims that imposing sanctions would do more harm to his nation. He will not even hold an extraordinary session of the parliament. The answer to the simple question of whether Garibashvili will visit Kyiv to show solidarity is most surprising. The Prime Minister has said that the skies over Ukraine are now closed.
“Irakli you will be unable to travel anywhere when the war ends and passenger planes replace military planes.
“Georgians and brothers, how are you liking it?” Did you forget that the President of Ukraine visited Tbilisi during 2008 when tanks were headed to Tbilisi? Will you tolerate it, or tell Garibashvili how he should act?” Goncharenko asked.
