Irakli Garibashvili met Razhden Kuprashvili today, the new head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, a legal entity under public law (LEPL).
The Head of Government for Georgia congratulated him and wished him success in all his future endeavors.
Discussions focused on the future of the Anti-Corruption Bureau. The meeting highlighted that the authorities are working hard to deliver the 12 priority plan recommended the European Commission, and the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Bureau is one of these deliverables.
Kuprashvili is currently working as the Director of Legal Aid at the Legal Aid Center (LEPL), and previously managed the Black Sea International Arbitration Chamber. He also works as the Legal Director of R&D Institute TransProject, and was previously the Chairman of the Revision Commission of Bar Association of Georgia.
According to a law of Georgia on the Fight Against Corruption on the basis of a short-list drawn up by the Competitive Selection Commission, three nominations have been made to the Prime Minster of Georgia for the decision on the appointment of the head of Anti-Corruption Bureau on February 6, 2023.
