The Georgian National Football Team returned to Georgia yesterday. They landed at Tbilisi International Airport around 9:15 am and were welcomed by thousands of fans.
Reuters has responded to an event entitled “Georgia’s thanks to football team”, held yesterday at Freedom Square at 22:00.
Reuters reported that “President Salome Zurabishvili who attended all four matches of Georgia in Germany presented each player with one of the highest civil awards of Georgia, Order of Honor,”
Reuters also noted that the Georgian football team traveled in an open bus to Tbilisi before arriving at Freedom Square. The team was greeted with applause and cheers.
