I want to make an appeal to our president, to the ladies in opposition and to those who want to protest on the streets – what will we gain from these protests? During his sermon, Bodbian Archbishop Iakob said that the people who won elections are not tolerable.
According to him the Georgian people won’t give up these elections.
“I would like to appeal to our President, women in the opposition and those who want to hold street demonstrations. What will these demonstrations bring us?” The people who won elections are not tolerable. The Georgian people won’t give up on these elections.
How long can we continue to be at the mercy others? Two forces were at war during the elections. One told you to go forward in peace and to take care of the economy and education. The other said that when it was time to enter a place, let’s do so without being grateful. The second force told us if we didn’t join them, you were Russians. The law, the government, and the people who voted are also Russian. Georgians still made a decision and did not believe this lie”, Reverend Iakob stated.
Reverend Iakob addressed the President again and the female opponents, noting their desire to “appease” the foreigner.
“I would like to appeal to Mrs. president and ladies, there is no sense in addressing men.” Are you mothers? – Whose blood would you like to spill if you took the young people out? What are you doing? Are you trying to please an alien? Is it possible to live together in a way so that we can all do things after the elections? “, said Iakob.
According to the Archbishop, the Georgian nation always stands where the church is.
“I’m addressing the men. Do you want to walk along the street?” This scenario was common in the 1990s, and we won’t confuse it any longer. Do you want walk down the street or attend a rally? You will be in constant opposition if you do this. Do you need to consider the consequences? The church is always there where there’s a Georgian Nation,” Reverend Iakob stated.
According to the information he has, the Georgian nation won’t be isolated, as the reverend pointed out.
“I am the one who has the information. I know that the relations will be resolved.” Our nation cannot exist in isolation. Some issues cannot be discussed without compromise. Peace will soon be established, so whatever information I carry, let’s try to live in a way that does not divide society but unites it,” Reverend Iakob stated.
