**German Defense Company Ready to Supply Arms for Ukraine Peacekeeping Mission**
The CEO of German defense company Rheinmetall has announced that the company is prepared to supply arms and equipment for a potential international peacekeeping mission in Ukraine. Armin Papperger made this statement on March 12.
According to Papperger, Rheinmetall could provide over 2,000 items, including tanks, armored vehicles, electronic warfare systems, reconnaissance drones, and satellite technology for monitoring a demarcation line. This offer is part of ongoing talks between European countries about deploying peacekeepers to Ukraine.
Several European countries have expressed willingness to participate in the mission, with up to 30,000 troops potentially involved. However, Russian officials have rejected this idea.
**Rheinmetall’s Capabilities**
Rheinmetall is one of Europe’s largest arms manufacturers and a key supplier to Ukraine. The company has already delivered artillery rounds, tanks, mortar shells, and surveillance drones under German government contracts.
In addition, Rheinmetall has opened a military vehicle repair facility in Ukraine and plans to build three more plants in the country.
**International Efforts for Peace**
The proposal for an international peacekeeping mission comes as US President Donald Trump‘s special envoy visits the region. The US is seeking Russian approval for a proposed 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, which Kyiv has accepted.
London and Paris are leading discussions among 37 countries from Europe, Asia, and the Commonwealth on shielding Ukraine against future Russian aggression.
**Casualties and Attacks**
Despite these efforts, violence continues to escalate in Ukraine. At least 14 civilians were killed and 33 injured over the past day, according to regional authorities.
Infrastructure facilities in Russia’s Voronezh and Rostov regions caught fire following multiple drone strikes.
Russian forces have also retaken Sudzha, a key stronghold of Ukrainian troops in Kursk Oblast.
