A chemical plant in Rostov Oblast, Russia, was reportedly hit in an attack on December 18. The is one of the largest chemical plants in Russia.

The factory makes rocket fuel and parts for ammunition and explosives, according to Andrii Kovalenko, head of ‘s counter-disinformation center. He said this on his Telegram channel with a video showing explosions at the plant.

Russian officials have not commented on the attack. However, Rostov Oblast Acting Yury Slyusar claimed that Russian air defense forces shot down 10 in the region on December 18.

The Kamensky Combine has been sanctioned by the EU, , and for its role in Russia’s against Ukraine. The plant produces rocket fuel for multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and intercontinental ballistic missiles using solid fuel.
